A labour contractor who employs labours and do works under principal employer is required to take labour license from labour department of the state. Any contractor who does not work under any employer but employs labours has to get contractor registration from either road construction department or building construction department of the state.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

An Act to regulate the employment of contract labour in certain establishment and to provide for its abolition in certain circumstances and matters connected therewith.<\/p>

It applies:-<\/strong><\/p>

a.<\/strong>\u00a0To every establishment in which ten or more workmen are employed or were employed on any day of the preceding twelve months as contract labour.
b.<\/strong>\u00a0It shall not apply to establishments in which work only of an intermittent or casual nature is performed.<\/p>

Registration of certain establishment<\/strong>\u00a0: Every principal employer of an establishment to which this Act applies shall make an application to the registering officer in the prescribed manner for registration of the establishment.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
